Body Mind Medical

Lab testing

The right tests, explained in plain English. Every test includes a practitioner review of your results, so you know what they mean and what to do next.

How testing works

In clinic

Blood is taken at Body Mind Medical in Llandudno, usually in the morning after an overnight fast.

Near you

Have blood taken at a partner collection centre close to home, anywhere in the UK.

At home

For finger-prick, stool, saliva and urine tests, we post you a kit with clear instructions and a prepaid return envelope.

Every test comes with a review

We don't send results without explanation. Your practitioner reviews every result with you, against standard and optimal ranges, and explains what it means for your plan. If anything needs medical attention, we refer you to your GP with a written summary.

Our laboratory partners

We work with accredited laboratories in the UK and the USA, choosing the right one for each test.

  • The Doctors Laboratory, London
  • Genova Diagnostics, USA
  • Cyrex Laboratories, USA
  • Mosaic Diagnostics, USA

Choosing tests wisely

We recommend tests only when the result will change your plan. Well-established tests come first. Where a specialist test has a developing evidence base, we say so and explain what it can and can't show.
